Atapuerca - Burgos 28Sept2011 15km/9miles

español abajo

Strong coffee at 7am and then uphill we went!  It was only 15km to Burgos, but the last 7km were so long! You have to go through an industrial area and a lot of cement coming into the city.  Andrea´s feet were hurting so bad that she walked in flip flops most of the way.  Iñaki, being sweet Iñaki, even carried her pack some of the way.  We had a beer outside the albergue while we waited for it to open.  JuanMa and Andrea were staying the night and the rest of us were leaving.  It was hard to say goodbye, so we did it quickly, but even so, the tears came easily.  Carme and Merche got a proper hotel for the night and Iñaki and I headed to the bus station.  I snapped a few pictures of the cathedral, but I´ll see it again soon.  Next spring:  Burgos to León.  Who´s coming with me??????  :-)

¿Quién me acompaña????? :-)
